The world's only national park bordering a major capital city, with lions, rhinos, leopards, and cheetahs just seven kilometres from Nairobi's city centre.
Nairobi National Park covers 117 square kilometres of open savannah directly south of Kenya’s capital, offering one of the most extraordinary safari settings on earth with wildlife roaming freely against the backdrop of the Nairobi skyline. Black rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffe, and over 400 bird species are all present within the park.
It is the perfect option for travellers with limited time, a Nairobi layover, or those beginning and ending a longer safari. A game drive can be completed in three to four hours and the park is less than 30 minutes from the city centre.
